We have been busy little bees over the past several weeks, travelling in a couple of different directions to go see family, and it's been so fantastic!
On March 18th, my wonderful parents celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary! Their marriage has been such an inspiration to me over the past couple of decades, as they've shown me how to love one another and fight for your marriage, no matter what.
We had the opportunity to go down to the Savannah area to visit with them a couple of weekends ago and had a great time catching up with our family. We took a trip to Downtown Savannah on Saturday to have dinner at The Pirates' House and do a little walking.

They don't look old enough to have been married 25 years, huh? |

David & Jesse just celebrated four years together! |

Over Easter weekend, we had a chance to head over to Columbus to catch up with Geoff's side of the family. The most exciting part of this trip: getting to see our precious niece and nephew! Oh my goodness! First of all, they're both growing up too fast! We haven't seen my sweet nephew since Thanksgiving, and he's done so much growing since then! He is a brilliant little man that can get you to do just about anything with his adorable smile and beautiful laugh. We got to spend Easter with him at "Gigi" and "Boo"'s house! He was great at finding Easter eggs!
Then, there's our niece. She's coming up on a year in a few months, but we all live so far apart that this is the first time we've been able to meet her (talk about feeling like a horrible aunt)! We started to make up for it though, as I got to hold that wiggle worm and play with her for a good bit! "Aunt K" even got a sweet little kiss on the cheek. (Yes, drool was involved. No, I'm not complaining. I would take a million of those kisses a day if I could get them.)

"Yes, I'll show you how to build, Uncle Geoff!" |
Sweet snuggles |
"No, Uncle Justin, the red blocks go this way . . . " |
"I wanna build!" |
Tippy-toes! |
We loved that red ball . . . we did not love when it disappeared down the hole on the table. |
Gotta talk to "Boo!" |
He dotes on her a little bit . . . |
. . . & would do anything to make her smile! |
Seriously, can we just go back to last week? |
We tried a group photo. Tried. |

Using "'Owan's 'one" |
"Aunt K, get that camera out of my face." |
"Well, okay. If you're going to make those noises and that face, I'll give you a smile." |
I think it's safe to say I love these little ones (and got a little camera-happy--Heaven help us when we have our own). It was so great to finally see them and give them some "Aunt K love." I also loved being able to catch up with my funny brothers-in-law, sweet sisters-in-law, and loving mother-in-law!
These past couple of weeks have been kind of hectic with travelling in different directions, but the time we were able to spend with our families will always be treasured. We truly feel blessed to have such amazing people in our lives!
