About Napkin Notes

That's kind of a weird label to see over there in that side bar, huh? Napkin Notes are simply that, notes that I write on napkins for Hubby each day when I pack his lunch. They started when I moved up to Athens this past summer, just as simple, "Have a great day! I love you!" notes. They gradually moved to "Verse of the Day" notes, where they stayed throughout the rest of the summer and even continued after I moved back to Statesboro (I made a whole pile of notes in advance before I left for the semester). Recently, they've moved to scriptural art on a daily basis. I take my inspiration from--okay, you caught me; I copy the work of--posts from the K-Love Radio Instagram, She Reads Truth App, and P31 Facebook Page (I <3 Lysa Terkeurst). I'm not lying when I tell you this is my favorite part of the day. I love that I get to take a few extra minutes each morning to write a loving, encouraging note to my husband, and I know he appreciates it! He's made a point many times to tell me he loves the notes and that people throughout his department know he gets a special note in his lunch every day. It's a little thing, but it's just one way I like to show my love for him (and Him). I've really enjoyed doing this for a while now, but I know life will just get more hectic as it moves on, and I may lose the time and motivation to continue this simple act. Hopefully, trying to post them here each day will serve as an accountability for me, to keep it going.
